6 Days 5 Nights

Day 1: Arrival to Paro airport.

Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local guide and escorted to the hotel for check in and then visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower housing the National Museum, with abundant culture relics. Later visit Paro Dzong, perhaps the finest example of Bhutanese architecture as well as a local religious administrative centre. If the time permits, go around the Paro town which lies on the banks of the Paro chuu, the main street, only built in1985, is lined with colourfully painted wooden shops fronts and restaurants.

Day 2:  Paro - Thimphu (By Car, Approx. 1.5 Hrs 55 km).                                         

You will be escorted to the capital Thimphu, passing by Tamchog Lhakang Iron Bridge. Hotel check-in, then head for Buddha Dordenma Statue and Takin Sanctuary, where you'll see Bhutan's unique national animal Takin. Visit national memorial chorten, Tibetan style chorten is one of the most visible religious structures in Thimphu, and for many Bhutanese it is the focus of their daily worship. Before going to Bhutan Post Office Headquarters where you can make stamps with your own photos (USD 4 for 12 stamps, at your expense). Later visit Thimphu Dzong (Trashichho Dzong), the largest religious building in Thimphu as well as the central administrative center (open after 5 pm, Monday to Friday). if time permits visit changangkha lhakhang, semtokha dzong, painting school, folk heritage museum and archery bhutans national game.

1.  It is suggested to store photos in SD card/ USB device for stamp printing, or else you may need to line up for taking photos.

Day 3 : Thimphu - Punakha, (By Car, Approx. 3 hrs 55 km).

AFTER the breakfast you will drive to Punakha,on the way stop at Dochula Pass to have a coffee break and admire the grand 108 stupas. If in good weather, take in the enchanting views of Mt. Himalaya. Proceed to Chimmi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the Devine Madman and a sacred place where people pray for children. Next embrace the highlight - Punakha Dzong, a very beautiful Bhutanese architecture armed by the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, with rich Buddhist collections. You will also visit Suspension Bridge nearby (the longest bridge in Bhutan). If time permits visit Khamsum Yuelley Namgyal Chorten ( 2 hours round trip hike)

Overnight: Punakha
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Punakha - Paro(By Car, 4 Hrs),

Drive back to Paro and visit Farm House, traditional village farm houses are very colourful, decorative and traditionally built without the use of single nail. All houses follow the same architectural pattern. A visit to Farm House is very interesting and offers a good glimpse into the lifestyle of a farmer. Later visit Drugyel Dzong built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646, to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders. Visit Kichu lhakhang one of the oldest and most beautiful temples. The temple is believed to have been built in 659 by King Songtsen Gampo of Tibet. If time permits visit Druk Choeding lhakhang and Dungtse lhakhang.

Day 5 : Paro Hiking

“Trip to Bhutan is never complete without climbing to Taktshang” This morning, hike to visit Taktsang (Tiger's Nest), be amazed by the view of this sacred temple hanging on the rocky cliff, and take in the beauty of Paro valley. Taktshang or the Tigers lair as the monastery is widely regarded is one of the most important in Bhutan. Its history is associated with the visit of Guru Padmasambhava, the Indian saint who came to Bhutan in the 8th century AD. The cave was named Taktshang after Guru Rinpoche flew into the cave from Kurtoe Singye Dzong in eastern Bhutan riding on a tigress. after that, If in good weather, you'll see a great distant view of Mt. Jhomolhari from drugyel dzong.

Day 6 : Depart Paro

Say goodbye to Bhutan today. After breakfast we will escort you to the airport for your onward flight.
